Everything's Gone Green!

Top: Topshop
Skirt: Zara
Bag: Primark
Jewellery: George @ ASDA

Hello to all you beautiful people out there!

Well, this the the green skirt that I was raving about in my last post. A steal at £9.99 in the sale!
I knew I had to wear it straight away when the sun was peeking out last night or else I'd never get to wear it again. Because this is Scotland, and the sun unfortunately never comes out when you want it to.

I had planned on going the whole hog in colour block trend but when I put my plain, pink top on it didn't look right. Warning: pleats adds pounds to your frame! So I thought a tight corset top would balance my figure out more.

Emmm... not really much else to say here. I think I've done maybe four outfit posts in a row. And I think that's enough for now. I'm gonna try to do some more beauty related posts for the rest of the week 'cause I never really know what to write on fashion blogs.

Yeah... awkward break off to the post... I'm suffering from a serious case of writers' block!

Peace out and love and all that jazz!

Lazing on a summer afternoon

Dress: H&M
Sunglasses: Primark

So after being lucky enough to get my ten hour Saturday shift cancelled  I hit the jackpot when my nine hour Sunday shift was shortened to six. The sun was still basking when I got home so I slinked the first summer dress to hand on, slicked on some bright lippie, grabbed a picnic blanket and lay outside in the heat soaking up the rays, listening to my fave tunes on the i-pod and started a new book. Absolute bliss!

Just ignore my face in the first picture, or my hair in the third pic. But a crappy pic is better than no pic is what I like to think! Whilst getting ready I thought about the furore created last week when Lily Melrose posted a pic on her blog sunbathing with make up on. For me, personally, on holiday I like to let my skin breathe and the idea of my make-up sinking into my skin whilst I tan makes me queasy. But then again, I don't have perfect skin and I know full well how upsetting it can be to see an other wise lovely picture of yourself ruined by a huge spot. If I was to make an absolute generalised sweeping statement my guess is that the girls who have predominantly fashion based blogs would wear make up on holiday, whilst those who have predominantly beauty related blogs would go without. Am I wrong in thinking that?

So getting off that tangent and back on course I decided against any heavy make- up, just a sweep of bronzer and a slick of bright pink lipstick. Note: which I hadn't applied on my first pic- that's why its so god awful!

I really hope its a hat trick weather wise tomorrow. Although it is Scotland so the chances are very slim.

Have you been out lazing in the sun today?

Here Comes The Sun!

Top: Primark
Shorts: Vintage
Plimsolls: New Look
Bag: H&M

It's been a glorious weekend weather wise and the icing on the cake was yesterday when my dreaded ten hour shift was cancelled. Yipeeee!!! I was so grateful because I was exhausted after doing a lot of shifts in the cinema where I work. Plus, I need all the rest I can get before Harry Potter comes out on the 15th. Thank pluck its the last one! Is all I'll say!

I didn't really know what to do with an unexpected Saturday off as the concept is so alien to me. Weekends are for work. And have been that way since I got my first job at thirteen. When I was younger I always said I never wanted to end up in a boring 9-5 Monday to Friday job. God, I'd kill for that now!

In the end I decided shopping was the best plan of action and this is just what I shoved on. Nice and simple. A couple of my pictures have the top inside my shorts and some outside that's because I couldn't decide and never did so I kept pulling it in and out all day.

I am sooooooooooo ecstatic to announce that I managed to pick up my much lusted after green maxi skirt in the sale for a tenner down from thirty quid. I've been after this bad bay for about two months and it means I can return a Topshop version that i bought in case I couldn't find any. I'm desperately on the lookout for a pink blazer if any of you know somewhere that's selling them online can you let me know?  I had bought one from Forever 21 but after waiting over 3 weeks for it to arrive its much more red than pink and not what I'm after at all. So the search continues.

Gonna be back in a jiffy as I've got another post of todays outfit to do.

.....I'm twenty-three baby!!!!

I did ponder naming this blog something like 'Forever Young'  or I even thought I could get away with one of Britney's finest songs: I'm not a Girl Not Yet a Woman. Alas, I came to my senses and admitted defeat that I am officially OLD!!!! Like, know how when you turn 18 and even 21 you think fuck I'm old, but at that age its still socially acceptable to not really know where your life is going and not giving two hoots about it. Doing that at 23 isn't as socially acceptable and at 24 it definitely isn't. Therefore, I've got a year to get my shizz together (And in that year learn to stop using words such as 'shizz' in a vain attempt to appear to be still 'down with the kidz').

So this was my birthday night out outfit. The night before I had a big night out in Glasgow with my friends which was fabby.  In the infamous words of Mr.Chow: We had a sick night bitches! Unfortunately, the day after I definitely felt my age therefore my actual birthday was a lazy duvet day. My boyfriend and I had planned to go to Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant in Glasgow but that idea got shelved in favour of a big greasy cheeseburger at TGI's once the hangover kicked in.

But I was well and truly spoiled on the day and got lots of goodies that I'll show you in my up and coming posts. I'm now off to go and soak up some Vitamin D before my 8 hour shift tonight.

Smell ya'al later!
